Barradale Eggs Company Profile
Desmond Etheridge pictured on the left in his Egg Man outfit which was created for the fun side of the man who turned Barradale Eggs around. A fun side, that took him all the way to Argentina to be a VICTIM, I mean contestant, in the BBC TV program Total Wipe Out. By design, luck or providence, Des was the weeks winner and came home with £10,000 in his back pocket, the lucky so and so.
OK, The Egg Man is the less serious side of Des, the Managing Director, who has been in the egg business for 28 years. A man who has built Barradale Eggs from nothing. Using his hands on and easily approachable technique, Des took the reigns at Barradale in 2000 and the company has been going from strength to strength ever since.

In the year 19blur Des became a member of the The British Egg Industry Council (BEIC) panel and helped produce / update The Lion Egg Farms - Code of Practice, from where the Red Lion Code Mark was born.
June 2007, saw a substantial investment in the latest packing technology. Installing the hi-tech machinery to grade and pack the eggs as fast as possible, it resulted in speedier deliveries of really fresh eggs to the company's customers. It also gave the opportunity to bulk grade and process a larger volume of eggs to a very high standard.
2009, the previously close association between Barradale and Bank Farm become a firm fixture as the company took over the brand name Bank Farm Eggs, also becoming Sole Distributor of the Bank Farm Free Range Eggs range of produce. Bank farm still produce these eggs on their Ashford Farm which the Free Free Range Hen Eggs are a feature in many top resturants and hotels.
Duck Eggs, Goose Eggs and Quail Eggs. This high quality, very well known brand of animal friendly produced eggs are demanded by many top restaurants, hotels, government departments and quality conscious retail outlets. It is now firmly knitted into the companies wholesale distribution network throughout the South East of the UK.
2009 also saw the company grow further. With closer ties and investment with egg producing farms in the South East. The Egg production was dropped from the companies Kent based farm in Headcorn in favour of specialising in the packing of eggs for affiliated farms plus furthering the wholesaling distribution network side of the company throughout London and most outer London areas of the home counties close to the outer ring of the M25.
The wholesale distribution area is growing all the time, as more farms join the company ranks or affiliated service and new areas are added, this web site will keep you updated and informed of these and other developments.
